Striving to increase the practice of orthodox Catholic medicine in South Carolina
The Galen Guild is a chartered guild of the Catholic Medical Association. We are an orthodox group of physicians and health care advocates who strive to follow the example set by Christus Medicus (Christ the Physician) in our medical practices. Our patron is Blessed Cardinal Galen, a German who was nearly martyred for his public opposition to Hitler's Euthanasia program. We were established in August 2010. The current president is DR Peter Bleyer, a Family Medicine physican in Myrtle Beach. We thank you for visiting our site (still in development) and invite you to join. Although there is a cost to becoming a CMA member, there is currently no cost to joining the guild.
